Our new look, which will be phased in across all ODS-Petrodata Web services over the coming months, is also a precursor to the introduction of new, improved and expanded services on the Web. ODS-Petrodata provides companies operating in the offshore oil and gas arena with an independent, authoritative source for market intelligence, data, market research and consulting services.

Founded in 2002, ODS-Petrodata builds on the legacies of its predecessor companies, Offshore Data Services, Inc., Petrodata Ltd. and Bassoe Offshore Consultants Ltd., each a premier provider of data, information and market intelligence to the offshore energy industry.

With the 50+ years combined experience of the predecessor companies as a base, ODS-Petrodata has expanded its horizons, and now operates from offices in the world's major upstream energy markets, including Houston, Aberdeen, Oslo, Singapore and Dubai.

ODS-Petrodata's Management and Board of Directors bring to the company a wealth of diverse experience and a commitment to customer service, integrity, independence and quality.

Senior Management

Per Christian Grytnes
President & CEO

P.C. Grytnes joined ODS-Petrodata as president and CEO upon the company's founding in 2002. He also serves as a director. He previously was managing director of Bassoe Offshore Consultants, and prior to that served in a number of operating roles within the offshore industry, including positions with ABB Offshore Systems AS, Saga Petroleum ASA and Exxon.

Paul Large
Vice President of Sales & Marketing
Managing Director - Houston

Paul Large joined ODS-Petrodata in 2002 with the key responsibility to increase the company's revenues and global sales presence. He brings 17 years of international sales experience with several UK engineering companies to the company. Prior to joining ODS-Petrodata, he was the managing director of a manufacturing business that supplied offshore oil and gas components.

Thomas E. Marsh
Publisher - USA
Vice President of Operations - Houston

Tom Marsh joined Houston-based Offshore Data Services in 1987 and was named editorial director for all Offshore Data Services news and data publications in 1994. The formation of ODS-Petrodata in 2002 resulted in his being named Publisher - USA, and as such he directs the company's print and online industry news initiatives and oversees publications produced by the company's US office. Prior to joining Offshore Data Services, he worked as a marine surveyor and claims adjuster in the offshore industry, and as an officer on a deep-sea tanker.

David M. Bichard
Publisher - UK
Acting Managing Director - Aberdeen

David Bichard joined Petrodata Ltd. in 1993 and was named Managing Editor and given responsibility for establishing the company's Houston office in 1996. The formation of ODS-Petrodata in 2002 resulted in his being named Publisher - UK. He also directs the company's marine and marine seismic market intelligence activities. Prior to joining Petrodata Ltd., he had a variety of roles with offshore support services provider The Maersk Co. Ltd., serving as assistant marketing manager, quality education coordinator and export supervisor and chartering assistant.

Bill Paul
Vice President of Consulting & Research
Managing Director - Singapore

Bill Paul joined ODS-Petrodata as a marine market consultant in 2004 and subsequently was named managing director of the company's Aberdeen office. He has also taken on responsibility for directing the company's consulting and research activities, and he was instrumental in establishing the company's Singapore office, where he now serves as managing director. Prior to joining ODS-Petrodata, he worked as commercial manager for Maersk, and area manager for Tidewater Marine International and managing director of Tidex Nigeria Ltd.

Robert Steven
Vice President - Rig Asset

Robert Steven joined ODS-Petrodata at its founding in 2002, having been working in a consulting role with predecessor company Bassoe Offshore Consultants. He now directs the company's efforts related to the offshore rig market and well data, and has responsibility for all related market reporting, data collection, web site development and new product creation. His industry experience includes consulting work with Financial Times and a range of oil companies, drilling contractors and other service companies. He also worked as a rig and supply vessel market specialist for ODS-Petrodata predecessor Petrodata Ltd., and as international editor of Offshore Magazine. He started his energy career as a mudlogger, working in the North Sea and Southeast Asia.

Paal Hansen-Tangen
Vice President - Field Development Asset
Managing Director - Oslo

Paal Hansen-Tangen joined ODS-Petrodata in 2003 to direct the company's efforts in the Field Development arena. His offshore industry experience includes a number of positions with Saga Petroleum, including as project manager for four major offshore field development programs. He also served as senior development planner and commissioning engineer on the Snorre project, and he is a member of the Norwegian Society for Project Management.

Dr. Peter J. Barclay
Vice President - Information Technology

Peter Barclay joined ODS-Petrodata subsequent to the merger of the predecessor companies, taking overall responsibility for the companies IT efforts and IT project management, as well as steering the company's technical direction, leading and reviewing software design efforts. He had previously served as software architect for Bassoe Offshore Consultants in Edinburgh. He has published numerous technical papers on database systems and user interfaces.

Regina Tait
Controller

Regina Tait joined ODS-Petrodata's predecessor holding company in 2001 as accounting manager, and she became controller and finance manager of ODS-Petrodata's US operations in 2002. She has a wide range of industry accounting experience with firms such as Phillips Petroleum, Aminoil, Catalyst Resources, Hooker Chemical Co., R.J. Reynolds and Paktank Corp.

Steven J. Still
Finance Director

Steven Still is a qualified chartered accountant with over ten years experience mainly in the oil and gas industry. He joined ODS-Petrodata in 2005, and with the company's growth, he now has responsibility for ODS-Petrodata's UK, Norwegian, Singapore and Dubai financial operations. Before joining ODS-Petrodata, he spent five years with the global consultancy firm Accenture.

Erland P. Bassoe
Chairman

Erland Bassoe has been involved in the offshore oil and gas industry since the early 1980s. He has founded or co-founded a number of companies engaged in offshore activities, including Offshore Asset Management AS; Bassoe Offshore; Chiles Offshore Inc.; Bassoe Offshore Consultants; Hercules Offshore Corp.; Frontier Drilling ASA; and ODS-Petrodata.

Jonathan B. Fairbanks
Director

Jonathan Fairbanks is president and co-founder of Hercules Offshore Corp., and also serves as president of Bassoe Offshore. He was one of the co-founders of ODS-Petrodata, and was also a co-founder and director of Chiles Offshore Inc.

Tom Unterman
Director

Tom Unterman is founder and managing partner of Rustic Canyon Group, a $550 million private equity fund based in California. He previously was with The Times Mirror Company, where he served as Executive Vice President and CFO.

Per Christian Grytnes
Director

In addition to serving on the board of directors, P.C. Grytnes is President and CEO of ODS-Petrodata.
